What to expect

Fire performers, toasted marshmallows and a fantastic acrobatic show! Come and join us at The Redwell Centre in Matson for this FREE family event. 

Gather around the fire for a performance that combines circus, dance, theatre and live music with fascinating storytelling.
The award-winning circus company Nikki & JD with Lost Dog dance theatre company bring Fireside to Matson for an evening of theatre, food and fire performances to light up your night.

Thursday 10th & Friday 11th April - Site opens at 6pm for food and fire performers // Show will start at 7.30pm
The Redwell Centre, Redwell Road, Matson, GL4 6JG // the show will be on the rugby pitch outside

We are encouraging people to walk or use public transport to travel to this event. If you are travelling via bus, the number 1 bus runs from Gloucester City Centre to Matson and you can get off the bus at Winnycroft Lane where The Redwell Centre is a 2 minute walk away.

Audience Information

The site will open at 6pm, hot food and drinks will be available to purchase from The Redwell Centre (cash and card accepted). Before the show starts there will be fire performers. The show will start at 7.30pm and is approximately 50 minutes long. This performance is relaxed. This means there's a relaxed attitude to noise and movement in the performance space. Latecomers will be welcomed, and people are free to leave the performance space and return at any time. 

This event will be outside so please dress appropriately for the weather. A variety of seating will be available on the night including mats and benches, once the seating is full it will be standing room only. 

Venue Accessibility Information

There will be accessible toilets onsite which will be clearly signposted. This event is mobility aid accessible, access to the main performance area is via a slope. We are encouraging people to walk or use public transport to travel to this event. If you are travelling via bus, the number 1 bus runs from Gloucester City Centre to Matson and you can get off the bus at Winnycroft Lane where The Redwell Centre is a 2 minute walk away. Please note there will be no parking onsite, there is free residential parking but please park considerately.
